*'''Theme Music''': Violent Battle

==Personality and Traits==

Mekibos first comes off as flippant and arrogant, generally not taking his job, colleagues, or enemies seriously. The only person he appears to have any real respect (or fear) for is Wendolo, his superior and younger brother. At first, he regards Earthlings as contemptuously as his the rest of the Zovorg, but he gradually comes to have a genuine respect not only for their combat prowess, but for their will to live and ability to harness emotion.

==History==

Like the rest of the Inspectors, Mekibos comes from the Zovorg alliance, a fairly ill defined group of allied peoples and planets that the average Earthling would consider aliens. Before either SRW 3 or Original Generation 2 start, he sustains injuries that give him distinctive scars across his cheek. It is implied that Wendolo had something to do with it, but it isn't elaborated on. During his first sortie against the Federation Occupied White Star, he wipes out the stationed fleet in a single blast with his MAPW attack, forcing the Hiryu Custom and her crew to flee due to a lack of manpower. Afterwards, Mekibos tries to procure several of Earth's higher end weapons, such as the Huckebein and the Huckebein Mk III. This leads him into a direct confrontation with Ryoto and Ring Mao, who manage to escape when the Mk III's uranus system activates and allows the newly formed Gunner frame to score a critical hit on the Graterkin with it's full impact cannons.

Later on, while defending against the Hagane and Hiryu Custom's operation Plantanegent, he uses his Thunder Crush MAPW once again to great effect, crippling enemy and ally alike. After Van Vat Tran's kamikaze attack on both Vigagi and him, Mekibos is forced to retreat from the battlefield. He later finds himself in defense of the Moon Cradle, which the Inspectors occupied over the course of the war. After a feint operation made by the Hiryu Custom, he uses a highly advanced Gravity-manipulating system to use Ring Mao as a hostage against Irmgard Kazahara. However, Shu Shirakawa arrives and promptly steamrolls over the gravity effect with his significantly more powerful Granzon. Deciding that discretion is the better part of valor, Mekibos retreats.

He makes his final stand against the Kurogane and Hiryu Custom in an asteroid field near the White Star. After being defeated, he realizes that the Inspectors have been wrong all along, and imparts his former enemies with vital information about the interior of the White Star. During the showdown with Wendolo, Mekibos appears as an ally, foiling with Wendolo's attempted escape with a well placed explosive on the Dikastis' teleportation device. Unfortunately, Wendolo had a counter measure of his own and managed to totally disable Graterkin by sabotaging it earlier. Mekibos was killed by Wendolo's subsequent attack.

While his fate is up in the air in the OG timeline, in the classic continuity, Mekibos is actually revived as a cyborg by the Zovorg and is instrumental in peace negotiations between themselves and Earth, and stopping Zezernan's rogue military action.

==Trivia==
*If the player manages to defeat the inspector trio during their first appearance at the White Star, Mekibos actually directly congratulates him for his perseverance. When pressed, he also gives you several of the best parts in the game.

==Personality And Traits==

Gilliam is an enigmatic character. Very few others know about his origins. He is a serious man, given to always thinking things through before acting. Gilliam has a tendency to know much more than he usually lets on, due to his work in the intelligence division. He is close friends with the other members of the Aggressors, and often collaborates with them when the Hagane and Hiryu are dealing with other threats. Like Kai, he prefers to use heavily customized Gespensts.

==History==

Gilliam is unique in the fact that he may have actually been the same person in every game he's been in. This is because Gilliam has crossed through many dimensions in his travels, which lends itself to his already formidable deductive powers. His first appearance was the game Hero Senki, in which he first appeared as an amnesiac ally. Later in the game, he becomes the final boss, revealing his true name as Apollo. He reasons with the heroes that the world they are in should not exist; after all, what kind of world has monsters, cyborgs -and- mobile suits all existing at the same time? Apollo deems the world a failed experiment, and intends to undo, but he is stopped by the combined efforts of the protagonists. This is also the XN Geist's only appearance so far.

He later appears in SRW 4, as a cameo of sorts. This is presumably where he obtains intimate knowledge of the Inspectors and Guests, as well as some of the characters he later meets in Original Generations.

Gilliam also appeared in Battle Dodgeball, but this is considered non-canon by most.

He plays a much more significant role in the Original Generation Timeline. Appearing as an ally from the Federation early on in Kyosuke's route, Gilliam provides supplies and intel to the ATX team and Hiryu Custom crew as they make the jump to space. He clashes several times with his friend and former teammate, Sanger Zonvolt. After the resolution of the DC War, Gilliam returns to the background, gathering more information on the predicted alien attack. After he returns to the now united forces of the Hagane and Hiryu Custom, he and Radha Byraban deduce that their Aerogater foes are most likely brainwashed earthlings. Gilliam plays a fairly minor role in Original Generation 1, though if he fights Ingram or Levi, it is suggested that there is much more to him than meets the eye.

This is expanded upon in Original Generation 2. The Shadow Mirrors, an extra-dimensional faction bent on causing war to advance humanity, manifest themselves in the protagonist's universe after a narrow escape from theirs. It is later revealed that they managed to do this with the help of a system that Gilliam created when he formerly worked with them under the name of Helios Olympus- System XN. One of Vindel Mauser's main goals is to capture Gilliam and use him to stabilize the system, which doesn't work nearly as well without him. During Gilliam's first sortie against the Shadow Mirror forces, he makes several comments about this world also being in a test tube of sorts- though he has no intentions of repeating his past mistake. Indeed, in the final battle with Vindel, Gilliam reveals that he is -not- originally from the Shadow Mirror's universe, but was instead stranded there and trying to use the System XN to return home. After arriving in the Original Generation universe, he decides to abandon this pursuit and atone for his past sins, which are presumably his first transgression in Hero Senki and allowing the Shadow Mirrors to follow him.

In Original Generation Gaiden, Gilliam is instrumental in counteracting the Bartoll menace, using his impressive military connections to determine the origins and uses of the ODE system. He joins the fight directly after relaying this information to his allies. Later, Gilliam devises a plan to infiltrate the Swordian using its own technology against it. His previous knowledge of warping devices proves to be invaluable in using the Swordian Daggers to teleport past the energy draining field directly- a device which the Swordian's occupants themselves haven't quite mastered. He makes several ominous comments about Dark Brain's physical makeup, noting that an amalgamation of negative emotion given sentience and form is just like... something.

==Trivia==

*It's become something of a running gag in recent installments to plug other Banpresto games during certain Save and Quit skits. In Original Generations, he recommends that the player try out Hero Senki, and notes that it's quite unlike him to make such a shameless plug. In Original Generation Gaiden, he plugs Super Hero Sakusen- ironically enough, a game he wasn't even in.
