The very first Grungust concept developed by Tesla Leicht Institute, being created as a first draft of the concept that TLI would use for further development of the 'G-Series' as it is known, the Reishiki was loaded with very few weaponry, but has a very strong armor. With the test concepts of the Grungust Type-0 ongoing with the ATX team, the Tesla Leicht Institute proceeded with the production of the next model of the Grungust, known as the original Grungust, since it's the one featured in SRW4 and other games, the Type-1 or Ishiki is commonly refered as 'Grungust' unlike the other models wich are refered to them as their type model number.

The Unit-1 of the Grungust was given to the Irmgalt Kazahara, son of the main scientist of the Tesla Leicht Institute, Jonathan Kazahara, as a distintive characteristic, the Grungust was capable to transform into two speciality modes, for use as an Aerial Bomber (known as Wing Gust) and for Terrestial Assault (known as Gust Lander). It is said that the Grungust is equiped with a direct link brain wave controller with voice control to make it easier to control the heavy unit.

Real Personal Trooper Type-1, or R-1 for short, is the first unit developed by Mao Industries for the SRX Project and also it incorporates the experimental T-Link System.The R-1 is capable of fighting with both melee and ranged weapons, and is designed to do physical damage. Thus, it is equipped with solid round weapons. Its designs are based on the PTX-006L Wildraubtier L and the RTX-009 Hückebein 009. Its has a secondary flight mode called the R-Wing, in this mode it allows it to achieve flight capabilities, making it versatile in combat. It is speculated to be either a mass-production or an improved variant of the R-1. However, the unit has been upgraded for better performance and is specially tuned for better melee combat.

With the test concepts of the Grungust Type-0 ongoing with the ATX team, the Tesla Leicht Institute proceded with the production of the next model of Grungust, known as the original Grungust, since it's the one featured in SRW4 and other games, the type-1 or Ichishiki is commonly refeered as 'grungust' unlike the other models wich are refered to them as their type model number.

The Unit-1 of the Grungust was given to the Irumgalt Kazahara, son of the main scientist of the Tesla Leicht Institute, Johnatan Kazahara, as a distintive characteristic, the Grungust was capable to transform into two speciality modes, for use as an Aerial Bomber (known as Wing Gust) and for Terrestial Assault (known as Gust Lander). It is said that The Grungust is equiped with a direct link brain wave controller with voice control to make it easier to control the heavy unit.
