それは宇宙に蔓延びる邪悪な世界。
禍々しき者どもが本能のままに生きる
無秩序なる魔の大地。。。
魔王と呼ばれる権力者たちの手で
支配、滅亡、復興、分裂を繰り返し
幾千幾万国にも膨れ上がった魔界は
宇宙に終わり無を混沌をもたらしていた。
そして、新たにまたひとつ、
魔界の闇に飲み込まれようとしている
世界が在った。。。

The Underworld...
A world with influence across the Universe.
A land of demons where chaos reigns and evil beings live acording to their instincts.
By the hand of powerful beings known as Overlords, the Underworld, which had expanded to hundreds and thousands of lands, brought about endless chaos in the Universe where reigns, destruction, revival and divisions are repeated over and over.
And so, once again, there is a land which looks set to throw the Underworld into disorder...

===Prelude - Horuruto Village===

Adel:
Are you seriously doing this?

Adel:
Even if you don't, as soon as I find Overlord Zenon it's finished.

Mama:
I don't think so. If you keep searching as you are you'll never find him - this is the only way.

Mama:
Anyway, are you done getting ready to summon Overlord Zenon?

Mama:
I gathered up the charred dragon, elf's sweat, bone of the demon dragon taken with the sword of carnage... and all the other stuff.

Mama:
And finally when we offer up the life span of the sacrifices, we can summon Overlord Zenon... ...probably.

Mama:
So all you have to think about is defeating him once he's summoned... okay?

Papa:
Mama, if we're all crammed in here as soon as our life span is sapped we'll die for sure!

Tarou:
We will! Why do you need our life span?

Mama:
Yeah, yeah. Don't complain. To summon Overlord Zenon we need life span whatever the cost.

Mama:
You're all demons aren't you? What's 1 or 2 years of life span?

Mama:
What's with you lot? Don't you want to return to being humans? Do you want to make my 15 years of work all for nothing?

Hanako:
Taro and I have been demons since we were born - we're not even bothered about being human.

Exactly, I'm a demon. All this is thanks to Overlord Zenon's curse - no need to worry about it.

By the contract made with the dark and light spirits of this land, I do summon in the name of Adel, "Overlord Zenon".

Rosalind:

A world with influence across the Universe.
A land of demons where chaos reigns and evil beings live acording to their instincts.

===Prinny Court===
If you throw a stack of multiple characters onto the gate to the Prinny Court, they will all be judged and receive the resulting crime bonus.

===Arcadia===
This is a high level item which boosts all of a character's stats. Normally you can only get this by defeating a secret character, but it is also available much earlier in the game as follows.

Use a cellphone in battle to call Actare (アクターレ), then take on the punishment slip for 'defeating Baal' (バールを倒した). The prize for completing this punishment slip and entering the Prinny Court is the Arcadia.

Also make sure you get as many characters in that court as possible, since you get 10 or so sin points (10% extra gained for all experience) for each one.

===Throwing Diagonally===
When you're holding something, if you hit the O button whilst changing direction, it is possible to throw diagonally.

===Sin System===

If one of your characters becomes (what the game considers to be) too strong in a particular statistic, you will receive a punishment slip in the post (the little Red Skull with the T above him).

Take these to the item world and on one of the levels (there are usually 30) will be a gate leading to the Prinny Court, where you can receive your punishment. The gate is grey and is called the 裁判所ゲート.

Naturally, because this is the underworld, sins are good things, so as your punishment you receive items or money. You also get a red stamp where that character's face is and if you look carefully, there is a 2 digit number written in red. This number gives you the ability to gain extra experience points. For example, 18 would mean you always receive 118% experience. The counter stops increasing at 99, but reports suggest the number continues to increase within the game system.

Note: Just because a sin has been committed by one character, it does not mean that character has to enter the Court. In fact, any character, or tower of characters can enter and receive the exp increase.

In the Asura Item World, after trespassing on the "Controllers of Asura" or the Baal Rebel Army, if you head up to the Asura Baal Castle without clearing the stage, the super-strong Prinny Baal will appear. At the same time, other Asura stages will become more difficult (have higher parameters) by 2 or 4 times (alternatively, if you clear it the parameters do not change). You can capture monsters in the intensified parameters version of the world, but this effect will not be passed on once you reincarnate the character.
