Folka is formerly a member of the humanoid race Shura, who lived only to fight. He is stern, serious and cold at first, but he eventually warms up thanks to the presence of his allies, except in battles, where he maintains a serious, deadly persona against his enemies. He is an expert of the fighting style Machine God Fist (機神拳, Kishin Ken).

===Compact 3 Timeline===

Folka's story started out when he was chosen to fight in a deathmatch battle against his sworn brother Fernando Albark, to earn the title of Shura General. Folka was victorious, but he began to question the lifestyle of the Shura, whether they can live in another way other than continuous fighting. With that, Folka spared Fernando, infuriating him, and he ran off as a fugitive, stumbling to the dimension of Earth. Arriving at the city Jaburo, he saw another Shura, Alion Lucada, laying waste on the city, with the Londo Bell defending it.

Folka decided to find the meaning of the lifestyle he sought within Londo Bell and joined them. He was faced by his Shura companions but his will never faltered. Despite losing his big brother Altis Tarl, and later Fernando himself, Folka moved forward and eventually defeated the Shura King Alkaid. He later realized that the Shura race is just like the humans, they can find a way of life other than fighting, but the Shura just does not know how. At the death of the King, Folka was transported back to the Shura world, leading his men with the new lifestyle he discovered. It's presumed that he took over the position of Shura King and led his race with the new lifestyle.

===Original Generation Timeline===

In the Original Generation timeline, Folka started out with Fernando traveling in the Asakusa city until they spotted the Compatible Kaiser piloted by Kouta Azuma, fighting several enemies. Folka decided to help him out to test his strength, but shortly after, he and Fernando turned against Kouta and attacked him. When Kai Kitamura and Lamia Loveless arrive at the vicinity, Folka retreated.

As the Shura King allied with Duminuss, their objective is to find the suitable body for the Armor of Emi, which happens to be Kouta's sister Shouko. Folka was given the job to capture her, and he uses the confusion during the Bartoll incident to kidnap Shouko. However, when he arrived back to the Swordian, he was instead chastised by Shouko. It was at that time Folka started to doubt the lifestyle of Shura, which continue to affect him in the coming battles against the Earth Federation Army (The Holy Death Match never existed here).

His relationship with Shouko grew and eventually in one mission to transport her to Duminuss' lair, the Hellgate Facility, Folka turned his back against the Shura and fought to protect Shouko, fighting against Fernando and Alion. Although the Earth Federation Army saved him, Shouko was captured again by Arco Katwor, the shape shifting Shura. Folka made it his mission to change the lifestyle of Shura, and save Shouko at the same time, cooperating with Kouta.

With the help of the Earth Federation Army, Folka and Kouta successfully rescued Shouko and she started using her power as Emi to help them. Eventually, the army staged an assault to the Swordian, the fortress of Shura. The first obstacle for Folka was Fernando, brainwashed and physically enhanced by Mizal Touval. As he stayed firm to his beliefs, Folka awakened the true form of Ialdabaoth, granting him new strength to defeat Fernando. He later faced off his big brother Altis Tarl, but he died protecting Folka from a sneak attack. This gives him even further resolve to defeat the Shura.

Folka eventually faced the Shura King Alkaid in battle, but joining him are Alion and a recovered Fernando. Folka defeats Alkaid and explains his discovery of a new lifestyle. With satisfaction, Alkaid passed the title 'Shura King' to Folka and passed away. Folka later defeats Arco and Mizal, and eventually Duminuss, Dark Brain and Shu Shirakawa.

After the battle, along with the remaining Shuras, including Fernando, Alion and Altis' lover Maysis Mark, Folka bid farewell to the Earth Federation Army, to look for a new home for the Shura, without forgetting Shouko. He also declared that they may meet again one day.
