	~~70 year-old Alder~~ Koch was the founder and former instructor of The School, and was partly responsible for the brutal training and conditioning the children there were put through. When the facility was shut down, he headed to the [[../../Glossary#Extra-Over Technological Investigative Institute\|Extra-Over Technological Investigative Institute]], and helped Bian Zoldark establish the Divine Crusaders. While Bian had his goals to reform the Earth Federation government, Adler had his own agenda of world domination, with plans to create vast unmanned mobile weapons, in order to combat the alien invaders. An arrogant man, but a brilliant scientist, he was the one who saw potential within [[#Tenzan Nakajima\|Tenzan Nakajima]], recruiting him into the Divine Crusaders' ranks, although Adler was somewhat embarrassed by his decision, after witnessing Tenzan's recklessness and behavior on the battlefield.

	When Bian was killed at Aidoneus Island, Adler assumed full command of the Divine Crusaders, heading along his path of world domination. He ordered [[#Tempest Hawker\|Tempest Hawker]] and Tenzan to kidnap Princess Shine Hausen, after he finished creating the [[../../Glossary#GEIM System\|GEIM System]] and mass-producing the new Valsion Custom. Leading the remaining Divine Crusaders to Geneva, Alder would attempt to take the Earth Federation capital with the Valsions, but after seeing his crazed ambition and unyielding for power, his subordinates would desert him in the battle, and he dies when his Rhinoceras battleship is destroyed.
