When a pilot reaches 50 kills, he/she obtains the Ace ranking, indicated by a gold star near their kill counter. This means that this pilot now has some bonus in battle or outside. Ace pilots start each episode with a +5 will.

The top 3 ace pilots will be a Top Ace, they get an additional +5 will bonus.

This way, without the aid of equip parts, a pilot can be deployed with 110 will.

Some pilots can't become an Ace due to being available for a short period of time (like Ouka). However their ace bonus still can be found in the game data. Some sub-pilots (like Sean) have an ace bonus despite not being able to use it.
