EX Hard
Completing the game once allows selecting the difficulty "Ex Hard".
In EX Hard, the difficulty is always on Hard. In addition, both unit and pilot upgrades are disabled. Enemies receive +3 upgrades to weapons, and +30 kills, granting enemies Ace Bonuses earlier on.
Special Mode
Beating the game twice will allow you access to Special Mode, which grants you one of each optional part, one of each equipable weapon and the ability to fully upgrade units to 15 blocks.
