Opening Scene

魔界。。。 それは宇宙に蔓延びる邪悪な世界。 禍々しき者どもが本能のままに生きる 無秩序なる魔の大地。。。 魔王と呼ばれる権力者たちの手で 支配、滅亡、復興、分裂を繰り返し 幾千幾万国にも膨れ上がった魔界は 宇宙に終わり無を混沌をもたらしていた。 そして、新たにまたひとつ、 魔界の闇に飲み込まれようとしている 世界が在った。。。

The Underworld... A world with influence across the Universe. A land of demons where chaos reigns and evil beings live acording to their instincts. By the hand of powerful beings known as Overlords, the Underworld, which had expanded to hundreds and thousands of lands, brought about endless chaos in the Universe where reigns, destruction, revival and divisions are repeated over and over. And so, once again, there is a land which looks set to throw the Underworld into disorder...

Prelude - Horuruto Village

Adel: Are you seriously doing this?

Adel: Even if you don't, as soon as I find Overlord Zenon it's finished.

Mama: I don't think so. If you keep searching as you are you'll never find him - this is the only way.

Mama: Anyway, are you done getting ready to summon Overlord Zenon?

Mama: I gathered up the charred dragon, elf's sweat, bone of the demon dragon taken with the sword of carnage... and all the other stuff.

Mama: And finally when we offer up the life span of the sacrifices, we can summon Overlord Zenon... ...probably.

Mama: So all you have to think about is defeating him once he's summoned... okay?

Papa: Mama, if we're all crammed in here as soon as our life span is sapped we'll die for sure!

Tarou: We will! Why do you need our life span?

Mama: Yeah, yeah. Don't complain. To summon Overlord Zenon we need life span whatever the cost.

Mama: You're all demons aren't you? What's 1 or 2 years of life span?

Mama: What's with you lot? Don't you want to return to being humans? Do you want to make my 15 years of work all for nothing?

Hanako: Taro and I have been demons since we were born - we're not even bothered about being human.

Mama: By the contract made with the dark and light spirits of this land, I do summon in the name of Adel, "Overlord Zenon".

Mama: Oh no, it failed?

Adel: Only I can take Zenon's curse and remain in human form. I'm sure there has to be some sort of reason for that.

Director: Aktare, how many times have you been told? This is a travel programme!

Director: An action scene isn't neccessary in a travel programme. Traps and enemies aren't needed!

Aktare: Oh, but come on - I'm finally acting. Everyone at home is looking forward to Dark Hero's magnificent adventures.

Director: Idiot! No-one's expecting that!

Director: The time for Dark Hero's adventures has already long passed.

Adel: Huh? What's going on here?

Rosaly: There he is! That blonde guy is Zenon. My father.

Adel: What? Really?

Adel: He certainly is very young. However you think about it, that doesn't make much sense.

Rosaly: (laughs) Now that he's right in front of you have you lost your nerve?

Adel: Don't be silly! Attacking from behind is not my style. We'll have a face to face contest fair and square.

Rosaly: You can win? Your opponent is known as the Overlord God.

Adel: I won't lose. Because I have a family I have to protect!

Rosaly: This guy... His family are very important to him.

Rosaly: If his family are that important he should hide them rather than recklessly fighting.

Rosaly: Nothing will come of him getting killed. What a foolish boy.

Rosaly: If he does fight, it will only bring sorrow.

Aktare: Look, Director! Even in this country village there's one of my fans. My time at the top will continue forever!

Usagi: Ealy this morning, the original Dark Hero, Aktare was murdered in the backwater of Veldaim.

Usagi: We have received information that Aktare was attacked by a demon while making a low ratings travel programme.

Usagi: Further details are unknown, but because of the trouble going to investigate, Underworld Police have decided it is a murder case.

Usagi: As we don't really know who did it, it's going unsolved. It is the same Aktare who years ago enthralled a generation, but his fortunes have utterly fallen so it can't be helped.

Usagi: The funeral service was strictly friends and family only and was conducted at speed, without any sad voices or anything. His personality will be remembered.

Prenelle: ....
