Grungust Type-0
The very first Grungust concept developed by Tesla Leicht Institute, being created as a first draft of the concept that TLI would use for further development of the 'G-Series' as it is known, the Reishiki was loaded with very few weaponery, but a very strong armor. Also the testbed for the 'Cracker engine' this unit was given to Major Sanger Zonvolt, leader of the ATX team stationed in the Langley base in North America.
Weaponery Specifications for Type-0
- Armor Breaker
A small missile is launched that in contact diminishes the defense capabilities of the enemy armor to a minimum level.
- Boost Knuckle
The Grungust launches it's arm to perform an aerial punch, a classic move between super robots.
- Hyper Blaster
Overheated particle beam launched from the grungust's chest, once again another classic move based upon japanese super robots.
- Reishiki Zankantou (Collosal Blade in ATLUS translation)
Equiped with it's own boosters, the massive blade appears in front of the Grungust to be used by Sanger, wich uses the full weight of the blade and the Grungust plus the booster on both to perform a diagonal slash that finishes the enemy, in the upcoming Original Generations game for PS2 the reishiki carries the Collosal Blade all the time instead of 'summoning' it as it does in the GBA version
Grungust Unit-1
With the test concepts of the Grungust Type-0 ongoing with the ATX team, the Tesla Leicht Institute proceded with the production of the next model of Grungust, known as the original Grungust, since it's the one featured in SRW4 and other games, the type-1 or Ichishiki is commonly refeered as 'grungust' unlike the other models wich are refered to them as their type model number.
The Unit-1 of the Grungust was given to the Irumgalt Kazahara, son of the main scientist of the Tesla Leicht Institute, Johnatan Kazahara, as a distintive characteristic, the Grungust was capable to transform into two speciality modes, for use as an Aerial Bomber (known as Wing Gust) and for Terrestial Assault (known as Gust Lander). It is said that The Grungust is equiped with a direct link brain wave controller with voice control to make it easier to control the heavy unit.
Weaponery Specifications for Grungust
- Omega Laser
A laser fired up from the Grungust's eyes, in the Original Generation version this attack is limited to the Wing Gust mode.
- Break Cross
A set of what seems to be shurikens is fired up towards the enemy, this attack was scrapped in the OG version.
- Boost Knuckle
The Grungust launches it's arm to perform an aerial punch, a classic move between super robots.
- Keito Ragouken (Calamity Blade in ATLUS translation)
The grungust summons a golden sword that is used to slash the enemy.
- Final Beam
Overheated particle beam launched from the grungust's chest, once again another classic move based upon japanese super robots, The upcoming Original Generations game shows that the final beam is fired from a set of 3 small panels that lift from the Grungust's chest to fire the beam, instead of a large beam with the form of the whole Grungust's chest plate.
- Keito Ragouken Ankensatsy (Calamity Blade Darkness Slash in ATLUS translation)
The grungust summons a golden sword that is used to slash the enemy a set of consecutive times.
