Macross 7 is the second TV series of the Super Dimensional Fortress Macross franchise. Macross 7 takes place 35 years after the events of the first Macross series and 5 years after its direct sequel, Macross Plus. Macross 7 is known for its soundtrack heavily focused towards rock music and the musical talents of Yoshiki Fukuyama, who would later become a member of JAM Project. The success of Macross 7 has also resulted in the release of other OVAs and movies such as Macross Dynamite 7 and Macross 7: The Galaxy is Calling for Me.

Story
