I’m not even sure what your personal problem is.  You clearly don’t need the wiki if you can understand Japanese anyway, so the translation problems or lack therof shouldn’t affect you.  —Mattman324

You act as though the "Singlish renames" are unusable messes; how are they any less useful than made-up translations? If you're playing the Japanese version, it doesn't matter whether it's Vigor, Grit, or Guts on this page, because it still tells you what it does. But if you're playing the English version, the names used on this page do matter, because they need to be consistent in order to be of any use.
As a side note; did someone on the V translation team murder your parents or something? You're so angry that this might as well be a personal vendetta. --Mazori (talk) 00:53, 31 December 2017 (PST)

You probably need to slow down and read the descriptions a bit more carefully. The original description before this page was recently modified says "Increased EXP/Money gained by 100%". When you translate that to math, this means [base + (1.00 * base)] = essentially double. The current description has simply changed the value to 200% which means the formula has now changed to [base + (2.00 * base)] = triple and is now misleading. I am very well aware that Japanese descriptions tend to use multipliers, but we will never know whether the English translations are a result of incompetence, text limitations, inability to use Atlus wording, or readability concerns because we aren't a part of the translation team. The times are changing. Newer players hopping into this game franchise are going to discover older SRWs thanks to this "god awful Singlish" and other fan translations. Our focus should be to bridge the names and descriptions for an easier transition, not to bicker about whose translation is superior. We are no longer on a one-way street anymore and now we have to watch traffic flow from both directions. If this still bothers you, then take it up with the Bandai and the Singaporean translation team yourself. Maybe they'll start paying you instead. Zephyrantes (talk) 01:40, 30 December 2017 (PST)

Luck and Great Effort 100% funds and EXP gain? 2倍? Double? 200%? Okay just stay away from the Spirit Command listing. Official translations? No no, Singlish Renames don't count for shit you know. Hell they will change the moment they get new Rename Squad members who try to translate. - Garg.

I've never seen anything or anyone use some of the translations you put there. For example, I've never seen Gain referred to as Great Effort. Furthermore, the official Atlus translations of spirit commands are generally used by most people; as a result of them, Alert is rarely seen as Flash. While correct, your change does not help anyone who wants to actually play the game and use this page for reference, and in addition does not match up with commonly used names for spirits. --Mazori (talk) 23:00, 27 December 2017 (PST)

While I think it’s generally important to use translated Spirit names in games with actual official translations for obvious reasons, a lot of longtime fans of the franchise do use Flash in the same way they use Alert. The big sticking points are the HP spirits (Vigor > Guts and Guts > Great Guts) and the massive mess surrounding Fortitude/Invincible and everything about Guard/Invincible/Iron Wall/reduce all damage by 3/4. You don’t usually see Great Effort, but some do use Hard Work, as the Noriko puns don’t work otherwise (she usually starts with HARD WORK AND GUTS!)

Valor over Hot Blood is dumb though. —Mattman324

There's nothing official "translating" about RENAMING things, and yeah Atlus's renames are outdated now since their works was years ago and there wasn't much text space on the GBA. I'll say it again; there's nothing official about renaming especially if it was due to lack of space. Yes; I'm going for the actual TRANSLATIONS which only varies between a few other words for the Japanese word. If you're playing the Singlish release, then this wiki's Spirit Command list doesn't mean jackshit much to you, but if you're playing in Japanese. And sorry I have not played SRT OG's NA releases, only Japanese. So I'll stand by that point, the renames matter to me not so I'm sorry if I actually translate and not rename. But Atlus's renames are good as dead and Singlish ones...well, are you really willing to write the new renames to wiki every new game they rename in?? That'll become a bigger mess than what I'm doing. - Garg.

Whether it’s got your panties in a twist or not, it was an officially released translation. Quality or lack therof is unnecessary in figuring out whether that is factually accurate or not. And yes, I would write the names in the official name for whatever the official English release of that game said it was.
