Sin System

If one of your characters becomes (what the game considers to be) too strong in a particular statistic, you will receive a punishment slip in the post (the little Red Skull with the T above him).

Take these to the item world and on one of the levels (there are usually 30) will be a gate leading to the Prinny Court, where you can receive your punishment. The gate is grey and is called the 裁判所ゲート.

Naturally, because this is the underworld, sins are good things, so as your punishment you receive items or money. You also get a red stamp where that character's face is and if you look carefully, there is a 2 digit number written in red. This number gives you the ability to gain extra experience points. For example, 18 would mean you always receive 118% experience. The counter stops increasing at 99, but reports suggest the number continues to increase within the game system.

Note: Just because a sin has been committed by one character, it does not mean that character has to enter the Court. In fact, any character, or tower of characters can enter and receive the exp increase.
