And I've watched the show, the name is romanized and pronounced as "dock". "Dog" makes no goddamn sense.
Also, Cross/twin dock is used in the official release and all fansubs that I am aware of. Furthermore if the spelling was intended as "dog" it would be spelled without the extending "tsu" between the "Do" and "Gu".
The one that looks like a tsu is just an silent vowel. Even if you think dog makes no sense, It's how they named it (what language is it supposed to be then?), you should know that some names make no goddamn sense at all in anime. And what official release? And you don't romanize ドッグ as "dock", they can't do that; gu never transforms into ku (unless it's another language than English, probably). If you ask me, dock makes as little sense as dog, dock to what!? Well, dog is a military combat term, so it makes more sense than dock actually... not that they're military organization in Fafner...even if they run like one, kind of.
Well I appreciate you trying to Englishfy it for people who read. But please, leave it as dog. Since fansubs go with whatever, and official English don't usually follow direct stuff; they rename them instead. The game says Doggu ドッグ, so frankly we should abide by it no matter how much we might disagree with each other, and the game.
