This page is a reference for all the unit abilities that exist in the game. Units can have 1-4 abilities depending on their rarity. While units initially only start out with 1 ability or none, clearing certain unit quests can unlock more abilities and further enhance a unit's effectiveness. While many of these abilities share names with abilities from other Super Robot Wars games, their effects may be different due to the differences between Super Robot Wars X-Omega and traditional Super Robot Wars games. Some abilities are also exclusive to a certain unit, but the exclusive ability may not persist on every variation of that card due to rarity skill constraints or a lack of a reasonable purpose to have the ability on a different attribute.


NOTE: Clicking on the column headings will allow you to sort through the tables by their criteria (min/max values or alphabetical). Unfortunately, there is no arrow indicator that will show whether the information is ascending or descending due to outputting issues.



Regular Abilities

Offensive Abilities

Offensive abilities increase a unit's offensive attributes by modifying attack stats, damage output, finishing skill potency, and other factors. Offensive abilities will all have red icon colors.

General Offensive Abilities

General offensive abilities focus on increasing damage output. These skills will always be active in battle and have sword icons with an arrow pointing upward on the bottom-right corner.

Health-based Offensive Abilities

Health-based offensive abilities also focus on increasing damage output, but unlike regular abilities, these abilities will only be active when the unit's HP is within a certain range. Health-based offensive abilities will also have a sword icon, but with a heart on the bottom-right corner instead of an arrow.

Critical Modifiers

Critical modifiers affect a unit's chances of inflicting critical hits or the amount of damage a critical hit will do. Critical modifiers abilities have an icon depicting a downward swinging sword and an upward pointing arrow on the bottom-right corner.

Health-based Critical Modifiers

Health-based critical modifiers affect a unit's chances of inflicting critical hits or the amount of damage a critical hit will do when the unit is within a certain range of HP. Health-based critical modifiers abilities have an icon depicting a downward swinging sword with a heart on the bottom-right corner.

Momentum-based Offensive Abilities

Momentum-based offensive abilities are offensive abilities that activate the moment a unit destroys a certain amount of units in battle. These abilities will also have a sword icon with an exclamation mark on the bottom-right corner.

Finishing Skill Enhancements

Finishing skill enhancements increase the effectiveness of a unit's finishing skills by increasing the amount of damage inflicted or by increasing the duration a finishing skill can be activated.

Refreshing offensive abilities are constantly reactivated and refreshed. Whether the skill effects stack up or are simply refreshed is currently unknown.

Killer Abilities

Killer abilities amplify damage towards certain targets. Killer abilities are depicted with icons of a human target with cross-hairs around it.

Leadership Abilities

Defensive Abilities

Defensive abilities increases a unit's survivability by enhancing defensive stats or by giving it resistances. Defensive abilities will all have blue ability icon colors.

General Defensive Abilities

General defensive abilities focus on increasing defensive stats. These abilities will always remain active during battle and have shield icons with an arrow pointing upward on the bottom-right corner.

Special Armor and Barriers

Special armor and barriers will reduce damage taken by mitigating sources of damage or improving damage reduction by guarding as a Defender. These types of abilities will have a barrier deflection icon.

Status Resistances

Status resistances increased a unit's resistance to certain status effects or can even grant complete immunity. These abilities have icons depicting lightning bolts within a shield.

Mobility Abilities

These abilities primarily focus on increasing a unit's mobility by increasing its ability to move around the battlefield and dodge attacks. Mobility abilities all have green ability icon colors.

Movement Abilities

Movement abilities simply increases a unit's movement speed on the battle field. Movement abilities have an icon depicting a human figure running.

Evasive Countermeasures and Jamming

Evasive countermeasures and jamming provide units with abilities that increase their chances of evading attacks. Evasive countermeasures and jamming abilities will have a wing icon.

Status Effect Modifiers

Status effect modifiers allow a unit to inflict status effects with their attacks. Status effect modifiers have a purple icon color depicting thunderbolts.

Accuracy Enhancements

  • The description for Spatial Awareness was changed after the skill was found to be bugged and ineffective on 2015/12/30. The skill description used to be "When HP falls below 2/3, evasion rate is increased".

These abilities will only work during certain events. After the event is over, future updates will change these abilities into one of the regular abilities above.

陽の力Lv.1 Power of the Sun (Level 1) Assault Point and E-Chip gain is increased by 20% while Attack is increased by 25% during The Great Decisive Battle of Tokyo event.
陽の力Lv.2 Power of the Sun (Level 2) Assault Point gain, E-Chip gain, HP, and Attack are all increased by 50% during The Great Decisive Battle of Tokyo event.
陽の力Lv.3 Power of the Sun (Level 3) Assault Point gain, E-Chip gain, HP, and Attack are all increased by 100% during The Great Decisive Battle of Tokyo event.
